  6. This little gem should cause the switcher icon to swirl around in a friendly
  7. manner. Kind of charming really. This all runs from a module, so takes
  8. hardly any space, and runs quite fast.
  9.  
  10. As for the first version. Well I found it on a friends disc. The problems I
  11. had with it were:
  12.  
  13.         Written in BASIC, so a problem with slot size.
  14.         Slow, due to BASIC, etc.
  15.         Updating the icon was through Wimp_ForceRedraw rather than directly
  16.                 attacking the icon on the icon bar.
  17.         Wimp_BaseOfSprites moves, so causes a problem.
  18.         Also I had revision, so must be someting else to do ...

  20. On the subject of bugs, Well seems to work OK for me.

  22. If you are using RiscOS3.1 There is a problem in that the replacement
  23. sprites that are the frames of the animation are wider than the standard
  24. 'switcher' icon. To get the right hand side of the animation showing
  25. properly you will have to widen the 'switcher' icon before the TaskManager
  26. task is started so it can set the right size for the icon.

  32. (with NewSwitcher icon in this directory) before you *Desktop.
  33.  
  34. Possible things to sort out is some strange behaviour when using the filer,
  35. also reset the switcher sprite if the IconZ2 is finished.

  37. Any comments, etc please get in contact. If anyone creates a nice spinning
  38. Acorn, etc then please send me a copy.
